Shakeel Mughal is a senior management executive with over 25 years of proven track record of setting up and delivering business growth for multinational businesses operating in the Middle Eastern, African and Asian regions. His international business experience was gained in high technology sectors including ICT, industrial electronics, Offset & Industrial Participation, aerospace and defence. Since 2004, Shakeel has worked with governments and corporates in high growth and emerging markets to deliver economic and social development. He is a founding member of the Paris based European Club for Countertrade and Offsets (ECCO). Shakeel has put together and led joint ventures and consortia focussed on high value infrastructure projects in South Africa and set up CBC Technologies (CBCT) for the Commonwealth Business Council. Between 2007 and 2011, Shakeel worked with the UK Government on three trade programmes aimed at growing the economy out of recession: Under the High Growth Markets Programme, provided assistance to over 300 UK companies on business issues related to India, The Gulf and South Africa. Part of a core team that designed and delivered The Fiscal Stimulus Initiative (FSI) and The High Value Opportunities Programme (HVOP). The HVOP has become an integral part of UK government strategy and to date has identified, qualified and introduced multi-billion GBP worth of project opportunities to UK companies. Between 2002 and 2007, Shakeel advised companies born out of research projects in Imperial College London, and has established strong links with the Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP) in Doha. He has also advised companies involved in developing technologies for ICT, aerospace; automotive; water hydraulic systems; contact centres and bpo; Aquaculture; healthcare systems; clean & renewable energy:- green coal, bio-fuels and small wind. Shakeel is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (FIET) and a Chartered Engineer (C.Eng).
